Today’s consensus is that in 2030 global battery production needs to be around 4700GWh which is more than 7 times the installed global capacity in 2022
At this time, there is also a consensus that although the materials constituting Lithium-ion batteries are sufficiently present on earth, their extraction and refining capacities will be below the necessary volumes, particularly for Lithium, and to a lesser extent for Nickel.
TIAMAT addresses all these issues with its Sodium-ion battery cell technology which does not depend on these materials and offers a supply chain with significantly reduced geostrategic risks.
TIAMAT is based on nearly 10 years of academic research conducted by CNRS and University research units working together within the RS2E.
The most effective solution to cover power applications/needs not currently satisfied by mainstream technologies.
TIAMAT proposes an excellent power battery for ICE hybrid or fuel cell applications. The high power performances and the high safety of the TIAMAT battery battery provides a great solution for these mobility sectors.
Fast charge and hydrogen bus

APS for aircraft
Storage systems for railway applications
For storage applications, TIAMAT proposes a solution for Uninterruptible Power Supply and Static Transfer Switch systems for smart grid, data center and fast charger.
Buffer for fast charger
UPS for data center
Power tools
UPS for telecom system
TIAMAT plan to build a gigafactory to produce Sodium ion batteries, 10km south-east of the city of Amiens in the ZAC Jules Verne 2 industrial estate close to the commune of Boves. The site will be set up with production equipment to produce 5GWh of first generation Sodium ion cells designed by TIAMAT.
